Indifference and intolerance to others.

As we are already in the so-called modern age of science and enlightened reasoning, it is quite sad that human nature has never improved in step with the great achievements we made in technology and scientific discoveries.

In our society today, indifference and intolerance to other people are still so evident. Sometimes because of the great need to just survive, we forget that we are also humans and as such must treat others as humane as possible.

If we will not care for each other, what kind of world would we leave as a legacy to our future children. Indeed, the world could be so bleak if we failed to tap into the our deep and inner self where compassion, love, sharing and joy can be found. We got to understand others. We got to live and let others live. We got to extend helping hands...building bridges instead of walls.

It is never easy but never impossible to start being fully human again.

In this money minded world It is very true that people are indifferent to even their friends and companions. To earn money is the first priority and it is very essential to do so to survive in this society. But there are still some people that are not so. I hope that people have a thought about this idea, this society would be an even better place to live.

Yeah it is sad. Even today where we are considered to be freer than ever with democracy a huge part of many, many different countries, even in the United States, we discriminate against homosexuals, people of different religions, and even still against race. It's saddening to see this happen.

When were we ever fully human as you put it? I agree that more thought should be spared for others and a more caring approach taken for the world as a whole.

But i don't believe today's society has done this to us, we have always been this way. We look after those that are close to us or may be able to help us in some way and that's it, tribal mentality, anyone else is out to get your stuff. i think it will change one day, but not too soon.

humanity today is a shady truth, we all preach it to others but how well we perform it is still questionable. every one pretends to be nice to others and totally filled with humanity but he never leaves a chance to pull others for his own success. so all this talk of humanity and love is to be done with ones own self and all preaching has to be done to none other but to own self is required.
