Will Iran be the next Iraq? It looks like we will probably be going to war with Iran soon as well, now that they have a couple nuclear plants, said for energy purposes, that aren't sanctioned. My question is, how many countries can we afford to take military action against? Recently we've taken military action against Afghanistan & Iraq, & it looks very likely to be taking military action against Iran & possibly Pakistan.

I am really afraid and pray to God that please....do not let this happen...again...

The world is already witnessed to a horrific effects of a war and how it literally tears apart the basic structure of a country.

War is just no solution to any problem however big or dangerous the problem might seem.

War inflicts more wounds and leaves permanent scare on the entire generation of that particular country and it takes years to re-build them.

I sincerely hope that good sense prevails between both American and Iranian leaders and they quickly reach some amicable solution fairly quickly....

Regards,

Walker

No Iran will not be the next Iraq. Because Iran has a much stronger military and it won't be easy for US. There is a possibility that the war between these two nations will take place, since even Obama doesn't like Iran's nuclear plants. I still don't understand why Iran cannot have the nuclear plants. Is it because Iran is Muslim country? Iran won't obey the US and unless the US stops threatening Iran, a war can happen anytime soon. Let's see how the new President will solve this matter.

No Iran will not be the next Iraq. America's hands are full with two wars already. They don't have a viable army to fight in a third front at the same time. The economic troubles had made America pretty broke. So they do not have the financial resources to start and manage another war.

Iran is a much stronger country than Iraq. The United States will not be going to war with them any time in the near future.

As for Pakistan, the United States is not going to go to war with them either. Heck, we just sent a "train the trainer" team to train the Pakistani army on how to fight terrorists. YES it is true that he have been bombing villages in Pakistan, killing many innocent civilians but this is not the same as being at war with this country. All Pakistan wants is to at least appear like they have a little bit of sovereignty.

As far as Iran goes - as an American I feel our military is currently spread way too thin. However if Iraq never happened I would have no problem making some preemptive strikes again Iran. Right now there clearly in violation of several UN Charters and it demands action to put Iran back in its place.

Its just sad that the UN primarily relies on the US to enforce its charters.

I don't think Iran will be the next Iraq, no. They are a strong, well established, stable country, and Iraq was not. They don't have to fear an unprovoked attack, the worries are if they make the first move, which is likely, given current hostilities. I think that there is a possibility of them making an air strike against Israel, because of the current tensions, and the Israelis open practices to simulate attacking Iran.

It's a huge worry...an attack on Iraq would start another World War, and one that will be unlike any other, given the military advances of the last several decades. And the sides that will be chosen are obvious.

Iran isn't allowed to have nuclear stations because it isn't allowed to have nuclear anything. Those rules imposed on it by the UN are because the UN knows for a fact that allowing Iran to have nuclear power will lead to the Iranians developing WMD for use against Israel and the USA. It is TOO DANGEROUS to let a madman like the Iranian President have such weapons.

Why should ANY Islamic country have WMD anyway, since the Koran says:

Quote:
Qur'an:9:5 "Fight and kill the disbelievers wherever you find them, take them captive, harass them, lie in wait and ambush them using every stratagem of war."
No, giving Muslims WMD rights is a HUGE error in judgement which will lead to much more loss of life than a war with Iran would. The choice is ours, do we want a nuclear holocaust or a conventional war?

yes of course if Iran does not comply with the international community then Iran will definitely be the second Iraq. One problem I have with these countries is their desire to fight and kill their fellow human beings. They don't care about death and they don't care about their fellow human beings. All they think of is war and war and war with the infidels
