Default Democracy in the Middle East and North Africa

As we all know, majority of the Middle Eastern and North African countries such as Egypt, Tunisia, Morocco, Libya, etc are Islamic countries who live by Islamic rules and regulations. The "TRUE" Islamic laws and traditions teach real peace and prosperity. However, there is nothing like democracy under the Islamic rule. There is always a leader whose words become laws automatically. The Islamic rule somehow resembles an authoritarian(dictatorship and monarchical) rule in the sense that, the leader and not the people has the final say in all matters.

The Islamic rule however, differs a little especially when it comes to the role of women. Women sometimes hold even higher positions than men in some authoritarian(dictatorship) rules. The Queen of England for example is the head of the British Monarchy which places the role(power) of women far ahead of even most men. According to the Islamic rule however, women must be very submissive and obedient to men to the point where women shouldn't even be allowed to talk in gatherings where both sexes are present.

I read an article online a few weeks ago and in that article a 19 year old Aghan girl who got raped and became pregnant as a consequence was sentenced to 12 years in jail for having extra-marital sex according to the Afghan law. Meanwhile, as we all know, rape is a very serious offense in the developed world and victims of rape are even encouraged to come forward so they can receive the ncessary help they need and also help put the offenders and NOT the victims in jail. In other words, rape victims are not to be punished at all for a crime they did not commit. However, in Afghanistan, Iran, and other Islamic countries, rape victims get punished for getting raped.

Although this Islamic rule may appear weird to most of us, it is normal in almost all the Islamic countries on earth.

The post is getting too long but my question is, As we all know, the western world is now helping spread democracy in the Islamic world but Can the west succeed in imposing their(western) way of life on these countries? Can democracy survive in these Islamic nations? and In case democracy fails in countries like Iraq, Afghanistan, Egypt, Libya, Tunisia, etc, what do you think would be the consequences?

take the Koran away and put them in classrooms before teaching them democracy. they've been brainwashed since infancy and you think you can change the system within months? lol. . democracy sounds so crazy to a muslim and can never work in any muslim country.
