Rather we like it or not, children are the future. But what the children become once they're adults will decide everyone's future. Nowadays, I see children that are involved in a life of crime at an early age, I see young girls that are still "babies" themselves, having babies. But I don't blame the children, I blame the parents. Where are the parents when their kids are walking the streets at 2am in the morning? Where were the parents when their kids were failing school? The parents just aren't there for their kids to provide guidance and love. What can these kids do for the future of the world when they only have a grade 10 education or started having children at the age of 14? Children are the future, but its up to the parents to make sure that that future is bright, instead of the dark path that it is heading down now... |

The children are the hope of the country - this is a very famous line. I heard of this since I was in my grade school. It made me believe that I am that is why I tried my best to be a good citizen with the help of God.
Now, I am adult already and I haven't seen my country improved. Whether we like it or not, the younger generation are next in line and thus become a hope of the nation. The younger generation is the fruit of what the older generation. How can we expect them to be a good citizens if the government is corrupt before their very eyes? This question just boils down to evaluate ourselves and the government what are we teaching to the next generation. I am still hopeful that there is change and I hope it will be soon. |

Yes, no matter what, children will be the hope of the future. If not who else will? The current generation will grow old and the next generation will have to take over.Whether we like it or not, we'll have to depend on them for the future.
Therefore its important to educate the young and inculcate in them the proper values and morals for the betterment of the the society. |

Children needs to be guided properly to reach their full potential. If they are not provided with proper direction, they could end up as aimless or losers. So the surroundings where they grow up is very important. Kids from third world countries who grow up in depressing surroundings tend to be achieving much less than what their western counterparts are being able to achieve.

I agree with you bellebelle. I've seen a lot of kids still out in the streets during wee hours in the morning, kids selling in the streets instead of inside the classrooms, kids with a lot of bruises, emaciated/malnourished kids, kids begging for food, molested and abused kids. it's really heartbreaking to see them. all these make me wonder, what could the future be for these kids. we can safely suffice that they will still end up in the streets, uneducated, still suffering and lost. they could never be the hope of the future. governments should make this problem a priority.

Practically, children could be our future but may not be the hope of it. Children become what they are the way parents form them to become what they are. What future or hope could there be if in the first place parents leave or tolerate them to gamble, to fight, to steal, to cheat, to see and imitate bad things around? These 'wrongdoings' are considered good deeds for as long as they see them done by their parents or by anybody older than they are.

It’ s like the proverbs said; children are like a piece of canvas. How they will become will depend on how we color them. Whether black, green, red or as beautiful and colorful as rainbow. Let’s not blame the children but ponder back on what we did to make them who they are today.

children like melt gold can be molded in to any form, shape and size. they are new branches of an old tree which extends far more than the stem itself. children are the prospective politicians, doctors, engineers, scientists - they are the leaders of tomorrow. they themselves represent a whole new generation which is going to stand within is few years to come. they indeed are the future.

very true. Children are the hope of the future as they are actually the future of any country. If the young generation of any country is well educated then they will automatically help the cause of the country they live in. Thus it is very important for the society to recognize the role played by children as they constitute a healthy %age of population of any country

today's youth is tomorrow's future
giving good education, morals to the children of today only would make a bright tomorrow for the world where as on the other hand, illiterate, ill mannered children cannot contribute that much to a country's growth the way well mannered, educated children of today can do |
