Ugh, child prostitution is one of saddest things I have ever heard of and, whenever I hear about it, my heart utterly feels like breaking in two. Geez, I can't even imagine what these poor babies must have to go through, I mean, honestly, these are children we're talking about, not slabs of meat in a meat market up for the buying. Even worse, how on Earth do those who involve themselves in it not give a rats behind about how it is affecting these little ones; have they no morals at all? And then you hear about those who are so hard done by that they actually sell their "own" children in exchange for a few bucks. What on Earth??? Wow, I'd live on the streets, eat out garbage cans and walk around nude in the middle of winter before a thought like that even had an opportunity to enter my mind. Even moreso, if I was "that" hard up for money and saw no other way out (other than prostitution), "I'd" be the one standing on the street corner feeling like a piece of trash getting myself ready to be used and abused...certainly not one of my kids. Sad, sad, sad.

This is a sad news, but this is a reality. As the times becomes harder
these days people tend to enter into thess kinds of acitvities especially for the poor countries that really need food to eat and some basic necessities to satisfy. To help their families.

You can strengthen the hands of the police, or create a moral police.
But child prostitution will stay as long as a market for it stays.
As long as humans still think it is ok to but another human, prostitution will stay.

youth or children are the future of the mother earth therefore, it is the responsibility of every parent to take care of the siblings since they are gifts from the almighty. if every parent would not allow this then there is no problem such as child trafficking and etch.

from the birth of there child, they know already there duties and responsibilities as parents as to become a good example to them. every child has every right to enjoy there life being a kid not as slaves or toys. if you are a parent, you know your conscience. and from that conscience, child prostitution in africa will zero free.

I completely horrifies me that anyone would pimp out their own children. I don't think that poverty is any kind of excuse either. Faced with poverty there are plenty of things that people could do to make money on the black market:

1. Sell counterfeit DVDs and software.
2. Sell cannabis.
3. Stand on a street corner themselves.
4. Make porn videos and sell them online (that one is probably legal in most places).
5. Stealing goods then selling.

All of the above are far lesser crimes than forcing their own kids into prostitution. It's almost as if they don't care about the harm pedophiles do to children. Some kids end up so mentally scarred that they have relationship problems and sexual dysfunction later in life.

I don't even want to think about the monsters who actually tour the world abusing these children. They should be locked up and they key thrown away. Somebody has to be a seriously depraved and warped person to see a child in a sexual light, for them to act on those urges makes them sociopaths because they obviously don't care about what their actions is doing to the children in question. In all honesty though, if I had kids myself and was suffering with extreme poverty, I'd do anything to protect them from that kind of shit. I'd sell my own body first.

It is very hard to find ways in order to solve this problem. If we will start working on the prostitution, we can't assure that this operation will totally stop. The only way to prevent this illegal act is for our government to find ways to increase employment rate. In this case, families will have enough money to supply their daily needs.

i think the african government should take this issue and make arrangements in eradicating this . education must be made compulsory and some funds must be given to those students in order to encourage them
