Causes of poverty in India and how India can overcome poverty and hunger

Africa is poor and everybody knows that Africa is poor so When it comes to poverty, what comes to mind first almost all the time is Africa. When it comes to hunger, what comes to mind first is Africa and when it comes to HIV/AIDS, the same story. However, countries like India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, etc., are very poor some even worse than Africa. The new UNDP multidimensional poverty index developed by oxford university for example shows that the intensity of poverty in India is far higher than poverty in Africa. In other words, India's poverty is far worse than Africa not just in number but in intensity.
India is one of the most highly populated countries in the world. Go to big cities like Bombay and you will get to know that India is no different from Africa in terms of poverty and hunger. There are rich people in India who are very rich yet there are poor people in India who get nothing at all to eat and most of them sleep besides the streets of India. Poverty in certain parts of India is so bad that people eat mice to survive especially in the villages. India is so highly populated that the national fund doesn't reach about 60 percent of the population. India consists of huge of amount of people approximately 1oo crores of people. Due to this increasing population their demands also increases. To fulfill this huge demands of people India takes loan from other countries and now the situation has become that , there is 20,000 Rs of loan every head living in India. This has lead to increasing poverty in India.

Yes India will survive. To quote from Rang De Basanti' no country is perfect. It needs to be made perfect'. There are NGO's working consistently at fighting poverty and government keeps taking measure but they are not implemented well. All these efforts will pay dividends someday and india will become a truly developed country.
