Question Bush as the president of the United States

I am surprised that most people don't like president Bush. To me, I think president Bush is one of the best Presidents in US history. Bush is wise, he is courageous and he stays focused. what do you think? do you like president Bush?

I used to like Bush. I think though that he made some bad choices, the reason we went to war with Iraq is one of them. Saddam needed to be brought down and I believe everyone has the right to be free. He just went about it wrong.

It is hard to understand how you would be surprised by this. He has one of the worst approval ratings in history, in fact the second. How can he be the best? If he was wise he would not have brought us into an unwarranted internationally illegal war with no exit plan. If he was courageous he would admit his mistakes and attempt to remedy them, and his focus is on destruction and death in the middle east in the name of peace, along with stripping our constitutional rights in the name of freedom. Oxy-MORON anyone?

If he had stayed focused the word 'Bushism's' wouldn't have been coined. Yes, he was focused but more towards war with Iraq. He continued the hidden appeasement of the Oil and defense cartels which his father had probably started.

I REALLY hate Bush, Some of his actions have been truly un justified, especially the so called "War On Terrorism", I find it as a lame excuse. I really hope for someone better this time and it looks like its going to be Obama

I like him at about the same level as I like sitting in poison ivy.

The only good thing about his presidency is that it may end the conservative movement for the rest of my lifetime.

I can't stand the hypocrisy and aggressive actions that the Bush administration have engaged in. Everything is so blatantly guided by interests other than what is stated to the media and I can't believe that anyone would swallow his 'truth'.

Each American President comes on a plank of support from big companies who dish out donations by the millions. These companies have to recover the 'investment' they have made in their man. Bush is a stooge for all the big oil companies and defence contractors. That is so painfully obvious.

I liked Bush in the beginning. He seemed like he was going to concentrate on helping low income families and just seemed to have great morals. Unfortunately, he has been a huge disappointment to me. While the morals are still there I'm sure, the wisdom is not. He has done more harm to our country during his term than any president I can remember of. I am actually very sorry I ever voted for this man.

I think that if 9-11 hadn't happened and the resulting lows the nation has experienced because of that tragedy, people would have liked him better. As I said earlier, I think he should have brought Saddam down and helped the people of Iraq to gain freedom but it was still done for the wrong reason. I think he went into this war thinking he was going to finish what his father started ( and I liked his father better than him!) and make everything better. Unfortunatelty, it didn't work out that way and now, he is the reason for everything bad happening in the US, whether or not he is really the reason. If I had to go back and vote over, I don't think I would vote for Bush again.

I voted for Bush and am not ashamed nor do I regret it. I think he is blamed for a decision that most Americans asked him to make and then when the going got tough and they saw what it would consist of then they changed their minds - I imagine to clear their own consciouses. My B-I-L went to war and did so with pride as he knew it was needed. I have pictures right here of martyrs sent to blow them up that they thankfully got first.

I am not concerned with why they "say" we went there the facts are we "needed" to be there and it was ridiculous that it was allowed to go on as long as it did. Therefore, I happily blame the Presidents before that had the chance to eliminate this problem yet backed down out of fear of what the public would think.

I dislike Bush, and frankly I viewed the US differently after realizing that the country elected him to another term of office after seeing what he did in the first term.

Bush might be a nice man but as a president, well, I don't think he's a good one. He doesn't care about the average person and he doesn't listen to what the people want. The president should listen to the people and not to lie to them.

i think he is Ok, what ever decision he took during his tenure was best in his capacity and he did not have much choice with him. I think i you or me were at his place we would have also taken similar decisions

most Americans think president Bush will leave his office as a total failure however, this is not always so in the outside world. Bush has been helping Africa more than any other American President. just recently there was this video on youtube where some women in Iraq were singing praises to president Bush for his ending the barbaric administration of Saddam Hussein and giving back their freedom..

I have not been pleased with Bush at all. Our economy has went to the dogs since he came in and I just hope and pray that our next president can help bring us out of it. Yes, we did need to stand up for our country, but this war has went on way too long and too many innocent lives have been lost. Regardless of who our next president is, I hope he can also bring back some peace to our country.

I think Bush has done a pretty good job giving everything that has happen during his presidency. Over all I would give him a 4 out of 5 stars. I do think he could have picked a better Vice President.

I think he has made so many mistakes and driven this country in the ground. I am only for change in our government right now and hope that we see some very much needed laws, rules, and regulations enforced.

i think "not liking" someone is different from "not liking what he does". there seems to be a clear-cut whether to like or not to like president Bush else where in the world. In Africa however i think it will be somehow difficult to boldly say you don't like President Bush. In my country (Ghana) for example, we hate blood and we will never approve any war. Most Ghanaians can say they do not like the idea of Bush sending troops to Iraq but they cannot say they hate President Bush for sending billions to Africa to aid the poor in Africa. Bush has been doing alot for Africa and most Africans like Bush for that.

Bush is acting like he's the dictator of the U.S. See reasons to Hate bush
  • Bush has changed his positions on the level of assistance to help combat AIDS in Africa.
  • 3,000 Dead Americans in Iraq. Despite President George Bush’s attempt to overshadow the grim milestone with a political execution, the 3,000th dead American soldier bought his trip home today in a body bag. The soldier fell on the last day of 2006, ringing in the New Year with a march towards 4,000.
  • Bush Television Commercials Found to be Inaccurate and Misleading. The Bush-Cheney campaign has produced another television commercial it hopes will brainwash the American public into believing Senator John Kerry doesn't support a strong military.
  • U.S. Dollar Continues to Tank as Bush Continues to Lie About the Economy. The American dollar continued its dramatic drop in 2004, putting the U.S. economy in the same category as many so-called Banana Republics.

Bush have made several sacrifices in trying to win the battle in Iraq. There were more casualties when the war ended. I don't think I like Bush.

Yes. I try to "be friends" with all the leaders in the political field, but it aint easy. Especially when you have so many yayhooze running around complaining and they did not even bother to get out on election day.

I say don't moan unless you do all you can. (within the boundaries of law, of course!)

I used to like Bush before, but he has made the world worst.
He was not able to stop 9/11 bombings.
He is responsible for this high inflation rate and even the increase in prices.
So I dont like him now.

Genocide! that is a war crime. It happened during the Saddam's regime. Prolification of Uranium and Scientific advancement on both nuclear and biological warfare. UN intervene on this matter nothing happened! Somebody has to do the dirty work AND he was president BUSH!

Bush had to do what he has to do! We all blame him, we all point fingers! He made a choice we all disagree. But we were afraid that Iraq will fund any Islamic Terrorist! He did what is on the best interest of the greater majority.

Who would you blame if a Terrorist that is well funded?

I don't like BUSH. I like his GUTS!

I don't hate Bush. I do however, feel sorry for him. Very sorry for him. It's obvious that he has no idea what-so-ever of what to do. One look at any of the speeches he's given (especially the speeches he's had to give with hardly any notice) and it's apparent that he doesn't know what he's doing. Bush is just a puppet for Cheney, Bush Sr. and others. They're the ones that are controlling the strings.

I'm surprised that he got elected the 2nd time, it makes me wonder how much people will take before we stand up and say: "STOP. We’ve had enough."

All of this reminds me of a quote I heard...
Quote:
Yes, we did produce a near-perfect republic. But will they keep it? Or will they, in the enjoyment of plenty, lose the memory of freedom? Material abundance without character is the path of destruction. - Thomas Jefferson
