Some people say virginity is lack of opportunity, but i don't really think so cos a woman's virginity is her pride and it vindicates her to a large extent especially in some marital issues. Normal biblical and societal norm made it that women should keep their virginity till they marry but the jet age norm says otherwise. Someone enlighten us more please!

Personally I think virginity is overrated. I'm not saying anyone (male or female) should sleep with tons of people but to marry someone you have never slept with is insane as far as I am concerned.

When you pick someone to be your life partner you should know as much about them as you can to make sure that you are compatible. Can you imagine marrying someone and then once you sleep with them you realize you are just not on the same page in the bedroom?

It may not be culturally accepted in some regions of the world but as life spans increase and countries modernize and you have more potential partners to choose from it will become more important to pick the right person who is a total package. Otherwise men take wives and then end up visiting hookers, which isn't exactly a good family value.
