Default The Mad Men of Africa: Worst African Dictators

I was searching for the mentally disabled in Africa and I came across a video on youtube entitled "The mad men of Africa" so I clicked to watch it and lo and behold the real mad men of Africa. In this video were some famous mad men of all time including the mad man:

Idi Amin Dada
Idi Amin Dada was president of Uganda from 1971-1979. Idi Amin killed more than 500,000 Ugandans including opposition leaders, foreign investors, and even archbishops. He did not kill all these people with guns. In fact, he killed some with his bare hands, he buried some alive and fed others to his hungry crocodiles. He raped almost all the beautiful girls surrounding his palace. He also confirmed to eating human flesh and in fact they found several human heads in his refrigerator.

If you still don't believe Idi Amin was a mad man, here is the title he coined for himself: "His Excellency President for Life, Field Marshal Al Hadji Dr. Idi Amin, VC, DSO, MC, Lord of All the Beasts of the Earth and Fishes of the Sea and Conqueror of the British Empire in Africa in General and Uganda in Particular".

Omar Hassan Ahmad Al-Bashir
Many of you have heard about Darfur and the tens of thousands of mass graves which contain hundreds of thousands of innocent souls. Many of you have heard about the inhumane genocide of precious human lives including the lives of tiny little babies and toddlers but not so many of you know the man behind all these barbaric activities. The idiot you see in the picture above is Omar Hassan Ahmad Al-Bashir the idiot behind all these barbaric activities.

Omar has been president of Sudan since 1989 and uses the little oil money he collects from other nations to sponsor his terrorist groups such as his Arab brothers the Janjaweed who kill and destroy people (especially non-Arab Africans) on large scale. More than 500,000 people were murdered in Darfur between 2003-2009 all sponsored by Omar Al-Bashir.

Although Omar Al-Bashir has been declared a war criminal and a wanted man by the UN, Al-Bashir still lives and I would love to see this monster pay than to see Osama Bin Laden go down why because Omar Al-Bashir is worse than Osama Bin Laden and he is worse than all the other terrorists put together.

Mobutu Sese Seko
Mobutu Sese Seko was president of the Democratic Republic of Congo from 1965 to 1997 and killed an uncounted number of people during this time period.

Mobutu forced all television news channels to precede the evening news by an image of him descending through clouds from the heavens.

Mobutu killed all opposition leaders in broad day light and murdered countless others in the dark. Mobutu was overthrown by Laurent Kabila another mad man.

Charles Taylor
Charles Taylor who was president of Liberia from 1997 to 2003 was the cause of the Liberian civil war and the deaths of untold number of innocent people in Liberia.

He encouraged his followers to use rape as weapon and together they raped several innocent girls and destroyed several families. He also encouraged his followers to cut off the hands of people so they cannot rebel against him and together they caught of the limbs of several innocent people including babies and toddlers that is why you see so many Liberians today with no limbs.

UPDATE: Charles Taylor has been sentenced to 50 years in Jail by an international war crimes court.

Jean-Bedel Bokassa

Jean Bedel Bokassa who was a military ruler of Central African Republic from 1976 to 1979 when he was overthrown. He destroyed several innocent lives including the lives of all opposition leaders.

He killed several people and took their properties and enriched himself.

He was also a cannibal who ate the flesh of his enemies including the flesh of the opposition leaders he killed.

Robert Mugabe

Robert Mugabe holds the Guinness book of records as the oldest mad man (by circumstance) alive in Africa. Robert Mugabe is 87 years old and one of the oldest mad men alive in Africa and he continues terrorizing his poor countrymen. He is 87 but don't let his age deceive you.

Robert Mugabe uses his anti-west propaganda to commit most of his crimes. he hides under the shadows of "anti-west" so people over-look his wicked plans. He chased the white people out of his country and took away their properties including their lands. Robert Mugabe however decided to enrich himself with those properties and gave the lands to his immediate relatives and friends while the poor people had no land to even farm on.

He has been in office for more than 3 decades. Robert Mugabe has killed an uncounted number of people and he continues to kill. Zimbabweans have suffered a lot in the hands of this wicked mad man for more than 3 decades yet this monster doesn't want to leave the poor Zimbabweans alone.

Most people especially women and children in Zimbabwe go to bed hungry every single day yet Mugabe doesn't seem to care.

Muammar Gaddafi
Was He a Lunatic, a Monster or a King? Some say he was a lunatic. Some say he was a monster yet others think he was the King of Kings of Africa. I am an African and I know them all. Gaddafi was a great guy turned bad. He had a very strong spirit which was great in the beginning. However, that same strong spirit turned him into a monster and brought about his downfall. As I said in one of my posts, Compared to the greedy greedy west, Gaddafi was a saint. However, compared to the poor and the weak, Gaddafi was no where near a savior. For example, Gaddafi's children and immediate relatives had the right to kill without anyone questioning them. They considered Lybia part of their inheritance which brought about the downfall of Gaddafi.

Gaddafi was an anti-west which is great but he was an anti-west not because he loved Africa so much as he preached but because he wanted to keep his power. If Gaddafi was a monster then it was mainly because of his "over the top" sons. If Gaddafi was a king then it was because of himself.

If Gaddafi was a mad man then he deserved what he got. If Gaddafi was a monster then he deserved even worse. However, if Gaddafi was a saint as some people say, then we all murdered an innocent man.

You forgot several others. Here are a few others you may consider adding:

Omar Al-Bashir, Sudan is one of the worst dictators of all time.

Also Teodoro Obiang Nguema of Equatorial Guinea is such a monster.

Not forgetting another beast Denis Sassou Nguesso Democratic Republic of Congo.

Paul Biya of Cameroon has also committed several atrocities against the people of Cameroon and the whole of humanity.

The foolish King Mswati III of Swaziland is another monster.

Also Eduardo dos Santos caused the Angolan war and the lost of tens of thousands of lives. Eduardo has committed so many atrocities against humanity. I will post the rest later.

Thank you Kofy for this topic, many people like me ignore what kind of mad men who ruled some African countries.
Apart of the atrocities made by these individuals, what that gets me angry is the indifference and the insensibility of the so called developed countries. Is wrong to say: "That's the way of the world" and to continue to go ahead just because some issues aren't amid us or beacuse there isn't economic interest.
We live a wrong world.

Can wicked men survive forever? The answer is NO. No wicked man cannot survive forever. They came to meet this world and they will all live this world behind and they will never go scot free. They will pay dearly both physically and spiritually in this life and in the life after.

I have posted earlier as a guest, but have now registered and must reiterate what I had said in the earlier post.

You have put Qaddafi on your list of Dictators, and I'm not saying that he's not, but here's my post from earlier;

I will not tell you that I know what's going on in Libya 100%, nor will I even start about the US' oil interest. What I will tell you is what you don't know about Qaddafi.
All the talk about Qaddafi in the US media (and middle eastern media) is negative. I will not dispute that fact. They paint him as a horrible dictator that kills without mercy.

But this is US media we're talking about here. This country's 'westoxicated' news bullitens never tell you the full truth. There's been countless incidents where what's reported is pure lies, or just not completely true. This long history of making up lies led me with interest on Qaddafi, and whether or not he's as bad as they portray him. In my studies, this is what I've found;

Qaddafi is socialist. What that means to you though, may be different than what it means to someone else, or what it means when put next to the truth.

Some interesting notes on his accomplishments though;

"Under the revolutionary leadership of Muammar Qaddafi, Libya has attained the highest standard of living in Africa. -with a GNP per capita of between USD 2,200 and 6,000."

"Every Libyan gets free, and often excellent, education, medical and health services."

"Every citizen has been given a decent house or apartment to live in rent-free."

"Any Libyan who wants to become a farmer is given free use of land, a house, farm equipment, some livestock and seed."

"All people have access to doctors, hospitals, clinics and medicines, completely free of all charges."

Sounds like a pretty horrible guy, right?
I'm not surprised; the US is very against socialist advances, and will stop at nothing to give a bad name to all things socialist. As for the Middle East, they want to claim Libya as a part of them, not as a part of Africa. It is said that Qaddafi wants to unite Africa. The reason he's attacked so much is because of his "championing of Africa and his determined drive to unite Africa with one currency, one army and a shared vision regarding the true independence and liberation of the entire continent."

"However, it is a myth that the Africans fighting to defend the Jamahiriya and Muammar Qaddafi are mercenaries being paid a few dollars and this assumption is based solely on the usual racist and contemptuous view of Black Africans"

"One Turkish construction worker described a massacre: “We had 70-80 people from Chad working for our company. They were cut dead with pruning shears and axes, attackers saying: 'You are providing troops for Qaddafi.' The Sudanese were also massacred. We saw it for ourselves."

"In the Green Book, Qaddafi argues for the transfer of all power, wealth and arms directly into the hands of the people themselves. No one can deny that the Libyan populace is heavily armed. This is part of Qaddafi’s philosophy of arms not being monopolised by any section of the society, including the armed forces. It must be said that it is not usual practice for tyrants and dictators to arm their population."

That is what I have, if you'd like to read my source, here's the URL, cut in chunks because the site doesn't want me to post URLs yet.

Once again, you've made some very intelligent points Kevin. I am an African. I was born in Africa and I grew up in Africa so I know them all so very well. I always tell people the western world has nothing good to offer Africa. I like leaders who depend on themselves and not the west. Gaddafi is one such leader. If so, then why did I put Gaddafi on my list? Robert Mugabe of Zimbabwe is also an anti-west so why did I put him on my list? It is true the western media paints some of these leaders black for no good reason at all. The western media hates them because they are anti-west. Do you know that Gaddafi used to pay some western media personnels to polish his image abroad? Even Gaddafi knew his image needed some polishing. Some people support these leaders not because of what they are doing but because of their anti-west nature. Most people hate the western world so much to the point where they support these anti-west leaders no matter what bad things they do.

Robert Mugabe was a hero in his country why because he led his people to freedom. The whites in Zimbabwe were controlling everything while the poor blacks had nothing at all to eat and Mugabe realized the need to fight the white oppressors which he did successfully. However, because Mugabe led his people to freedom, he considers himself above all to the point where only his voice counts. He took away the properties the white people were controlling at that time but instead of sharing so the poor farmers in rural Zimbabwe get their share, Mugabe gave those properties to his concubines and immediate friends while the poor still wallowed in poverty and hunger. In other words, you led us to freedom the same way Moses did but left us in the wilderness with no water at all to quench our thirst. Ever since Mugabe led Zimbabwe to independence, he doesn't allow any other political party. He considers all political parties terrorist groups and kills those opposition leaders so that only his voice is heard. But in Africa, we believe "TWO HEADS ARE BETTER THAN ONE". Mugabe fought the white oppressors but lead the people into even worse oppression than before. Zimbabwe remains one of the poorest countries on earth with most people having nothing at all to eat and that is why Mugabe is such a monster and a failure.

Nelson Mandela did far greater things for his people than Robert Mugabe but unlike Robert Mugabe, Nelson Mandela allowed the people's voice to be heard and that is why Nelson Mandela remains a Messiah even today in Africa.

King Idris was the people's king but Gaddafi Overthrew King Idris and others by force and made himself the president of Libya and up untill his death remained the president of Libya and anybody who spoke against him died mysteriously in one of his underground prisons. I loved his anti-west nature but I hated his "snake under grass" nature. The living conditions in Libya as compared to the living conditions in Sudan and other parts of Africa is far better. The people have good homes, good health care, good schools, etc but don't even think Gaddafi sweat so hard to provide those things for the people because just a very tiny percentage of the barrels of oil Libya produces every month could provide all those things for the people and where did the remaining money go? nobody knows.

A voiceless man is the poorest man in Africa. Gaddafi wanted to control all the people as if they were kindergarten pupils. He provided them with candies, books, chalks, etc. but punished anyone who opposed him. You would never hear that Gaddafi killed anyone on the state TV because Gaddafi controlled almost all the media in Libya and they published only good things about him. meanwhile, the opposition members often died in the dark without anyone hearing about their whereabouts and you dared not challenge Gaddafi. Why didn't Gaddafi want to go after 42 years in power? Why didn't Gaddafi want to give others the chance the same way Mandela did? Does it make sense to kill your own people just to protect your country? Does it make sense to fight and kill innocent women and children just because a monster is in your land?. Once again, I am an African and I know them all so very well.

today i read a very happy news online. One monster is down although several others to go. An internal court for war crimes found the monster Charles Taylor guilty last month on 11 charges of aiding and abetting the rebels who went on a bloody rampage during the decade-long war that ended in 2002 with more than 50,000 dead. The 64-year-old warlord-turned-president of Liberia became the first former head of state convicted by an international war crimes court since the Second World War.

Although I feel bad for the innocent who lost their lives, I am happy that at least the innocent have gotten some justice. This monster will miserable die in jail and burn in hell after that.

The worst dictator in Africa was the Ethiopian leader Mengistu Haile Mariam who murdered his political opponents and thousands and thousands of students and then displayed the bodies in the major streets of Addis Ababa to deter dissent. He let millions of his people to starve to death despite having recieved millions of bags of foood aid to alleviate the hunger and instead shared the food wih his supportes. In total about 1.6million people died under the leadership of this foul regime. He was deposed in 1993. You missed this;Amin was fairly cool.

The world's worst living NON-AFRICAN dictatorships include:

-Kim regime in North Korea: but the young Kim does not really hold power, he is too young. Kim Il Sung, Kim Jong Il and Kim Jong Un are a sort of blessed trinity and royalty in this so-called communist republic. The Kims act like oldtime Japanese emperors - as not only kings but gods. Worse part of the regime: they isolate the country, letting people starve.

-General Jafari of Iran: Most people will say who. Surely, it is Ahmadinejad is the Iranian dictator. No, he holds no power or either did his predecessor Khatami or any other so-called president. Others say it is Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. No, he is the legit figurehead as was Ayatollah Khomeini before him. Lest we not forget that the Shah Pahlavi was overthrown ever before Khomeini arrived back in Iran and those who did this used the ailing 80 year old for their figurehead. We know these "revolutionaries" as Revolutionary Guard Corps or Sepah/Pasdaran today. Jafari heads it and what he says goes in this military dictatorship. Worse part of the regime: abusing religious law to repress people not allowing them choice to dress, eat or drink as they please (akin to Taliban); unemployment due to isolation.

-Saudi Arabia Royal Family: The same as Iran but worse Taliban-style repression.

BUT the worst are the African countries with no government controlled by gunmen. Somalia tops that list, Sudan too. Sudan combines evil Taliban-style penal laws plus the anarchy of Somalia. Omar al Bashir is probably the worst living dictator in Africa. Congo is also dangerous and ungovernable, as are Chad and Central African Republic. In this light, the united dicatorships like Eq Guinea, Zimbabwe and Togo are almost made to look good.

BUT the bad guys are getting less and less plentiful. Ghana, Benin, Namibia, Tanzania, etc. are all democracies and while poor their future is better and they are safe.

Robert Mugabe thinks he is the smartest man in Zimbabwe because of his 7 degrees but as a Zimbabwean, I tell you Robert Mugabe is the most foolish old man alive. he doesn't always think before acting and now look as us. Zimbabwe is one of the poorest countries in Africa. It is so sad some people don't see it that way. If he is a hero after 3 decades of ruining our country and economy then we humans don't think right at all. Some people think he is a hero because he hates white people but that is just stupidity in display. White people are not the problems we face today in Africa. we still suffer because of bastards like Robert Mugabe.

I love it when these fake fundamentalist Islamic idiots refer to the West as infidels. The same one who kill women and children DELIBERATELY. Where in your Koran are you justified? Nowhere! And then you praise Muammar Muhammad Abu Minyar al-Gaddafi as if he was a king. He was a murderer, monster, dictator and a zealot. Nothing more and he got what he deserved.

Ofcourse all these people are/were mentally disabled including Gaddafi. Any leader who allows power to corrupt his senses is worse than a mentally disabled person. This is a very short list my friend. Africa is full of mentally disabled leaders. We just lost perhaps the only sane political figure left in Africa in the person of Nelson Mandela. Now we are left with complete Baboons like Robert Mugabe to deal with. What a great loss!
