Somewhere in September last year I saw on tv so many Americans take to the streets protesting. They named the movement "Occupy Wall street" and one of their aims was to protest the injustice and financial greed and the system whereby few rich Americans control almost everything in America.
The movement grew very rapidly within just a couple of days why because so many Americans are sick and tired of those greedy individuals who think not about the rest but just themselves.
Not so many people have heard about it but there is a similar movement going on right now in Nigeria. The Occupy Nigeria movement. Just like the Occupy Wall Street movement, this movement which started on New Year's day this year has grew rapidly within a matter of days. So many people are sick and tired of the few greedy bastards who keep making life a living hell for the many.
People were just waiting for the right time. people were just waiting for a spark. people were just waiting for a catalyst and now they have it and thanks to the internet and social media websites like facebook the movement is growing very rapidly.
Although I don't support disturbances, I think it is a good idea for us all to come together at times to protest peacefully so the world knows some of the problems we've been facing in silence.
what do you think?
