It is the end of another era and Ghana speaks again. Ghanaians marched in their numbers to the polling sites across the length and breadth of the country yesterday voicing out their opinions through their thumbs. The counting of the electoral votes is still ongoing but Ghanaians have spoken and the decision is very clear. Once again, Ghana has proven to be the gateway to Africa. The land of Freedom and Justice. A land of democracy where every vote counts. No blood was shed and no voice unheard. Ghana has spoken. The land of peace and the gateway to Africa.
The most inspiring news came Yesterday from Tuobodom (a popular town in the Brong-Ahafo region) where Madam Ama Kwaa
(122 years of age) struggled with her walking-stick all to the way from her little hut to the polling station just to cast her vote. When asked why she struggled all they way just to cast her vote, She said silently, "hmm.. me do me man" meaning "I love my country"
What do you think? Do you like Ghana? well, you cannot love Africa and hate Ghana because Ghana is the soul of Africa. You are welcome to Ghana
