Default Africa's Natural Resources are Controlled by Selfish People

I personally don't feel that Africans are poor or there is no 'money' in Africa, but what I do feel is that commodities of value available in Africa are controlled selfishly by those in power. Africa has many profitable natural resources (diamonds, rubber, oil) it just that unfortunate that those at the do not believe in hoard the profits for themselves and their constituents. One would not believe the destitution and poverty that is prevalent in some of the most profitable diamond mining towns(which should be drowning in money) in Africa. Also, some countries have lucrative oil contracts with the Chinese. So, the money is there. What's missing is the equal distribution of it

Default Re: Africa's Natural Resources are Controlled by Selfish People

That is the problem with Africa. Greedy people are the main reason why Africa is poor. Some of them are far too greedy and selfish. Take Nigeria for example. Nigeria has huge oil deposits and one of the leading suppliers of oil in the world today yet Nigeria remains very poor why because greedy people in higher offices do not want to share the countries wealth. Some of them open huge bank accounts abroad whereas poor people continue to suffer in Nigeria with nothing to eat and no place to sleep.
