I worked with a guy that said the same. He would drink a lot of different types of soda's and would also drink tea. He ended up missing a week of work and came back to the office with the same story as your friend.

Kidney stones a mineral deposits that are not flushed out of our system. If we don't regularly urinate, drink a lot of soda and eat salty foods. This are probable reason why you would have a kidney stone.

It is not a good thing to have a kidney stone - there are case's it can be flushed out by medication and drinking a ton of water, other using a laser or by surgical operation all of which is costly. so take care of your health and drink a lot of water.

Yes i completely agree with you that the major cause of kidney stones is lack of drinking water.Kidney stones often occur when urine becomes too concentrated.It results in intense pain and weakness.therfore we should be aware about this.

Drink a lot of soda?...because i have a kidney stone before and i am not taking soda...btw doctor mentioned to me one of the reason is when you hold your urinate.But when you want to urinate it VERY painfull!!!!!

My ex-girlfriend just got kidney stones and there are many thing that could cause it according to the doctor. Absorbing too much calcium for example. My ex said that it was very painful when they used ultrasonic waves to hit the kidney stones.

Speaking from the perspective of one who has had kidney stones, the cause is diet and lack of hydration. The majority of kidney stones are calcified deposits that can't be passed through the urinary tract. One of the causes is a diet high in calcium products...milk..cheeses and so forth. One of the best preventatives is cranberry juice!! Its acidic properties act as a kidney cleaner...and after having stones...and the pain associated with them...I'm a walking testament to the Power of the Cranberry!!

Among the causes of kidney stone are, not drinking a lot of pure water.
We are required to drink 2 liters of pure water daily.
The other cause are delaying to pee !!
Delaying to pee will cause a lot of trouble.

first of all let me say about kidney stone. its collection of minerals and salt which get calcified and obstructs the flow.
now it depends where the stones get collected if in kidney its called kidney stones similarly there are ureter stones, calyx stone, bladder stone.
so first management is drink a lot of water
it works like removal of dirt from a water pipe by flow of more amount of water..
secondly if the stone is large it is broken down by medicines or laser therapy...
