Post What do you consider a healthy diet?

i have just started the rainbow diet, it's pretty good, you just have to eat as many different colored foods as possible, within reason. Naturally coloured food that is. each color represents a nutrient you need. so say if your craving green veg you are probably a little deficient in that nutrient.

I feel better for it and food looks so much more appealing with the various colors.

I'm always open to ideas, so what do you think is a healthy diet?

A healthy diet is one that is high in varied types of foods.

Detox diets etc are all pretty silly especially for prolonged periods such are low carb which can bring on ketosis etc.

A diet high in fruit and vegetables is the start, then to add in some healthy whole grains and other good for you grains such as buckwheat and quiona.

I tend to limit my meat consumption as well as dairy as i believe they are two of the most unhealthiest foods which are usually high in the normal diet.

Beans and legumes/pulses are a good vegetarian source of protein.

a healthy diet could be anything which is nutritious and good for health

a balanced diet can be considered as a perfect healthy diet containing enough proportion of vitamins, minerals and calcium required by body to remain healthy and away from diseases
also eating fruits and drinking lots of water everyday also keeps you happy
