The steady rise of STDs - Herpes

What does everyone think about the rise in STDs across the world? Is it because of lack of religion politics or bad parenting? In the US alone over one in five people have herpes and that's just herpes. What are we going to do about this global epidemic?

Not all STDs are passed via sexual contact. Also, there are different types of the herpes virus.

Safe sex practices are only common sense. There areas of the world where people do not have access to condoms or birth control. These areas have an under-educated population too.

Education is the way to combat this problem at the root. Providing condoms and birth control would go a long way too.

I don't think you can blame it on parents or religion. Everyone has the choice and I think if we are going to blame anyone it can be the government and society in general. Let us spend more money on a cure for it ora vaccination

With all the people that don't know they have this or other STD's, it's alarming. Of course, sexual relationships are going to happen, and the chances of getting infected seem high. If you cure one STD, maybe you will see an increase in people engaging in risky behavior like this, but I hate to see a world where everybody has an incurable virus.

They have a HPV vaccine. I would strongly support effort to get rid of STD's

the rise of std's is caused by many factors; unsafe sex, sharing dirty toilets, sharing towels and other private stuff with infected person. we can do a lot to curb the spread. Enlightening people on having safe sex, cleanliness and/or total abstinence from premarital sex if possible. That will go a long way to help!!!!!!!!!
