Stop Smoking Before it Kills you

I don't understand why people actually smoke. There is no benefits in doing that, apart from showing off that you are now a big man. There are countless disadvantages in that as for example, diseases like cancer and spreading pollution etc. Yet there are millions of smokers who smoke regularly and many of them are addicts as well. Stop smoking and start living your life on your own...I would say !

What do you think? Do you smoke or hate smoking ?

I don't hate smokers but I hate smoking as an act especially smoking in public places like the beach for example. Smoking is bad and it kills you slowly. Not only you but it also puts your children and grandchildren and the whole public in danger. Why don't you drink poison? because poison kills. Why do you smoke? because you enjoy smoking. That is like playing with death.

Yep, I agree, smoking is a terrible habit and yes, you bet it kills. Unfortunately, it's also an addiction (and a hard one to break, at that) that has me "wrapped around it's little finger" like you wouldn't believe (meaning that I am, indeed, a smoker). Sure wish I could just put down my cigarettes and leave them down but, needless to say, it is easier said then done. I can't tell you how many times I have tried to quit just to start right back up again. Grrr, I detest it soooooo much, yet, here I am, still doing it. Wow, if only I had an answer that would truly knock the urge to light up right out of me, I would be a much happier camper. I'd like to know if there are any others here who have kicked the habit (for good) and what they did to do so. If you fit into that category, please, don't be afraid to share, I'd be glad to hear all about it.

I tried smoking once because I thought I would be cool but I never tried it again, why? Because it doesn't make you cool, it's a waste of money and is bad for you and hey you may attract some smoker buddies but they only are there because you have cigarettes for them to smoke. If you do smoke I recommend you give it up and stop making stupid excuses like it's hard to do so because if you put your mind do it you can give up and live a better and smoke free life.

I have been smoking for 7 years and I smoke a little under a pack a day.
It's an addiction and I started out the same way as you, just hittin it a couple times on the weekends from my friends.
Then you start needing the nicotine and start buying packs.

I personally hate smoking. My brother and mom smoke a lot and it's a real pain to be around that smoke. I really get pissed of smelling that stuff, but the thing that pisses me off the most is that they're damaging their health. My brother used to have asthma as a child and smoking can't be good for him! Damn you tobacco companies!

I enjoy smoking, but I know it is very bad for my health. I have quit successfully in the past, only to start smoking in a few months. For me, it is a good way to relieve stress, and I do enjoy smoking. I love to smoke when I drink, and when I am hanging out. I have smoked for 15 years, so it is hard to stop or me. I am so used to it, and I can't imagine my life without cigarettes.

Smoking is injurious to health but it seems people do not understand it. I hate smoking. My friends in Uni used to do it as fun and they asked me many times to join in the fun but i was not convinced.

my friends are smoker, when i ask him/her why smoking..they just answer for statisfied ??
they even dont think about damage that caused by smoking?

Me..personally dont like smoking!

So come on young generation, keep our heatlh and environment , stop smoking right now

There are no Benefits,but it only can be realized by a non-smoker person,like you are understanding,but ask a smoker about this,and see what he say about it,this is a deadly habit,but you know what ? the smoker don't understand it and will not understand it's harm,only they will get it when it is all over

I agree with this 110%.
Only a non-smoker can understand what it can do to you.
Every smoke pack has a label printed on it that says "Smoking causes Cancer" Or "Highly addictive", etc. Smokers don't pay attention to that. Only non-smokers do. Try telling a smoker to quit, because it's killing him, he'll act like he cares if he knows you well, if he doesn't he wont care, or, even if he does know you, he wont care because he wont believe it.

Smoking cigarettes can adversely affect health and not only endanger own life but also to the people living around him/her. Inspite of ban from smoking by Indian government in public places, we didn't find any strict action taken against the violators. The adverse affect is due to accumulation of tar like thing inside the lungs. I haven't try smoking till now because I fear that I may not get addicted to it. Addicted persons should know its cruel affects of smoking and should try not to negate the truthful facts.

My mum smokes and i disapprove of it but i don't say anything. I am only 14 and i see smoking personally as buying your self a coffin. because you spend so much of cigarettes and then say you have no money. if you was not buying fags then you would have enough money to buy things

my aunt smoked and she died, some of my family members smoke, one stopped smoking though. my dead aunt. so you see no benefit from smoking. i say it is poison to the body o: smoking kills no joke. shouldn't take it lightly and plus wouldn't you want to live. only get one.
