Arrow Regular meditation in the morning helps to overcome stress

I normally take a break and sit in the park for an hour or two. Sometimes I will talk a long slow walk.

What do you do when you are stressed?

When I get really stressed I will go for a swim if I can. If swimming is not available then I go for a run. I find that really helps calm me down and also gets me in a lot better mood.

I’m just playing some games for a while and then go back to what I am doing. Stress can never be get ridded so it would be better if we know how can we handle them.

I just try to enjoy myself in any manner whether by watching tv or playing games in my pc or by playing with my kid.These methods work finely to relieve me from stress.Sometimes I read novels to get relieve from it.

Going to the beach is definitely my way of relaxing! Just sitting on the sand while watching the sun to set is such a soothing scenery.

When i feel stressed i play lot of computer games. I know it is out of sequence but this is how i deal with it.

Stress can be relieved in a number of different ways. Personally I need to take time out from what I am doing and relax for a bit. Some people counter stress by keeping themselves busy but this can have the opposite effect.

Ya i have seen many cases when people do more stressful work to get out of work but beleive me that doesn't help them.Infact they become more worse.

After a long day of the days work. I will take a dip on my bath tube and relax my self for an hour then i will have my healthy dinner then go to bed with my lovely partner and make things happen.

If is a weekend i will stay in bed most of the time, or maybe go to the movies.

I usually listen to some relaxing music , like new age or classical while drinking my favorite drink, a sweppes , but once in a while I would spoil myself ,I mean I would go to a spa center to have a relaxing massage .
Sometimes , I would call my friends and go out for a nice dinner and what we call " laughing therapy ".

i had taken it to smoking when i was really stressed during my break up days. and i must say, that really helped. but now i have quit smoking and now i just unwind by listening to my favourite songs collection. and that too, really helps!

When I'm stressed, I'll stop and think about something that I can do right then that would make me happy. Sometimes its just watching my favorite tv show or a movie, playing a video game, sitting outside while reading a book or taking a nap. Although I hardly take naps when I'm stressed, I find that at least for me, they seem to work the best.

If i feel stressed I prefer going to bed and sleep! Sleeping relieves me from stress. Especially when I get the chance to take a full 8 hours of sleep.

I take a walk in the park side or maybe along the beach. at times i just go shopping of chat with friends.

I find that any type of physical exercise helps to relieve my stress. Also taking deep breaths can provide a quick relief.

I just started to do yoga and my instructor was telling me that Yoga really helps with stress. She gave me a few examples of other students that claim to have had success. I guess only time will tell if it works for me.

When I feel stressed I like to do some form of physical exercise. I will take a brisk walk or ride my bike. It helps me to clear my head so I can get on with my day. If I'm really stressed I'll go to the gym and lift weights as this really works to clear my head. Since I work out regularly( 4 to 5 days a week), I find my stress levels do not get a chance to build up.

I go to the spa and have body massage! I think that's a great way of relieving stress after long days of work. Also, massage relaxes the strained muscles so you feel light and comfortable after getting a full body massage.

I hope we don't get much stress next year. The financial crisis will taking its toll. To deal with stress is to know possible issue and time that can cause stress in advance....
But then predicting future can also make you stressed !!

Normally I would just light up a cigarette and think. If it does not help I would call some friends to meet at night with some alcohol. Playing games or watching movie work for me too. In the worst case I would find someone to talk to.

Mainly music. I love music as it can easily bring out how I feel, or it can help me relax and calm down. For dealing with stress, I usually listen to those instrumental background music that's used in entertainment pieces like RPGs in terms of gaming. There's some magnificent sounds out there that really put me at ease when I listen to them.

... Otherwise, I'd just go out for a walk or a jog for a bit. The fresh air is quite refreshing, and ironically, even though I said noted music is my life - I love the silence that you can get while taking a walk or jog. Helps me relax and think clearly.

Regular meditation in the morning is best to overcome the stress. Meditation makes you strong for handling the stress and other issues of health.

Morning walk can also help in little percentage.

Other than this when you think you have some stress about anything then go out, get mixed up with lot of people out there, go to some party or attend some function, go for movie, go on ride with your girlfriend

All these will help a lot.

One thing that I haven't seen addressed is ....Why not try eliminating the things that are causing you the stress?? Take a minute and think about that...is it self induced? Work induced? Relationship induced? Where is it coming from? Maybe that should be the first step ..Don't you think? Seems like common sense to me.

well when i am stressed i usually go for a long walk, play with my pets, listen to some good music or take a very long bath. Sometimes I curl up with a good book or sweat out my tension with a good workout(that is I do some physical exercises for some 30 minutes.

Drink some water, wash your scalp and face with cold water, and take deep rhythmic breathe-ins and breathe-outs for 5 to 10 minutes. Then close your eyes and think of some serene natural phenomenon -- like a small beautiful pond that has some concentric waves formation. Think and "see" that those waves are becoming less and less (make this "happen" ver slowly -- let this take place for about 5 minutes), then the waves stop all together... keep adding such things if you still feel any stress... it is a perfect exercise and also soothes the mental thought processes that are filled with stress thought or tensions. This is very powerful technique that I learn many years ago. Has helped me most of the times...

I have found that for me the best thing to do is get pretty pumped up and put on some harder rock music then work out for as long as I can or until I feel faint and then take a nice warm shower for a long while and then go right to bed, I wake up the next morning feeling completely renewed.

I just take a break it might mean a night out with the girls or the husband or just 2 minutes to myself but it definitely helps.

That and a good holler never hurt anyone and it's a great stress reliever just make sure alone so you don't get any funny looks

Music is always good. Calming music may have a calming effect, but I often feel loud music (metal and such) very effectively gets some aggression out of me.
Playing games always helps, as does sleeping

Normally I do yoga, but since getting pregnant I haven't been able to do even the prenatal programs without getting sick. So now I am relying on hot baths, though with a toddler it isn't always easy to get one in. Still, there is nothing better then hot water with some lavender and a few candles, and no distractions.
