Donate one of your kidneys to save someone you love
I read it somewhere that donating a kidney doesn't alter life span or risk of getting diseases and that it is safe to donate one of your kidneys and still remain normal. It is good to donate one of your kidneys to save someone you love. It is good to donate to save a best friend, husband, wife, child or parent. Honestly, I can't stand and watch a love one die and I would definitely donate my kidney if I should. Doctors are saying that it is safe to donate one of your kidneys but the question I keep on asking myself is that, if we can survive on just one kidney then why do we have two kidneys in our system? For long, we all thought that the appendix in our bodies are vestigial with no known functions. However, just recently, scientist have discovered that the appendix which we long thought was useless, serves a very important function in our bodies. Although we can survive on one kidney, I still think it is better to have both kidneys than just one. What do you think?
