Default Coffee or Tea which one is Good for Health?

These two drinks are patronized by many. Some believe that they have health benefits. But between the two, which do you think is better? Well, I prefer coffee over tea.

tea leaves especially the African and the Chinese tea leaves have medicinal purposes and i am used to the African tea leaves. it is good for your health and no side effects. it also makes you active and keeps you alive like the coffee but with little of maybe no caffeine

I enjoy both. Coffee in the morning but not after 11:00am. Tea any time after 12:00pm. I have been drinking a lot more tea because I have stopped drinking soda.

I like Coffee more than Tea. Coffee, It makes my morning. It gets me going at the start of the day. Strong does of Caffeine gets me ready for work. You stay active, alert and all of your senses are working. You can't be driving to work half-asleep you'll end up on pavement.

Coffee !First thing in the morning !
I drink 3-4 coffees a day and that because I have a low blood pressure and it really helps me get through the day . Occasionally I may drink some tea , too , especially when I have stomach aches or a flu .
I have read somewhere that green tea has the same effect as coffee , but sincerely I wouldn't trade my coffee for it. Coffee does taste much better !
My favorite types are cafe latte , mocha ( which is a variant of that ) , jacobs with sugar and wipping cream and cappuccino . I hate cinnamon taste in coffee.

I love drinking coffee anytime of the day! I could finish 3-4 cups in a day to keep me awake! Or sometimes I just crave for it!:p

Default Coffee v/s Tea

I had been looking forward to this issue. I think Tea is far better, due to it's high antioxidant capacity. It relaxes blood vessels and even lowers the Bad cholesterol. It even lowers cancer risks. Habitual drinkers (don't get me wrong - not alcohol) can use Tea.

Coffee helps in reducing blood sugar (avoid the crystals, please!).
It boosts the supply of Dopamine - which would help to cut down the risk of Parkinson's disease.

A cup a day or two is recommended. Maximum three. Don't exceed that. And dark coffee/tea can stain your tooth badly. Add a little milk and wash your mouth after drinking.

Default Coffee or tea

I primarily drink tea all day long. I enjoy hot tea in the morning and then Iced Tea with my lunch and dinner. I occasionally have a cup of coffee, but tea is definately my favorite

I really, really love coffee! Especially the one from Starbucks coffee. I usually drink coffee I think three or four times a day. Most of the time I like it served hot but at times I like it cold, too. It depends on my mood and the weather.

I love coffee, and I think thats an American thing. Black, and regular. Any hint of vanilla, hazelnut, or any strong fragrance like that and I get angry.

I'm definitely more of a fan for tea than I am for coffee. I drink Oolong tea every single day, although sometimes it's green tea instead (which is even better for you.) Coffee comes out stronger, I admit that... but in terms of comparing the taste and just in general, I'd have to side with tea instead.

I love how Coffee tastes and its various types, but still i stick to tea because i have read and heard how coffee acts as a slow poison, due to its alkaloid Caffeine which can cause some ill effects to the body.

Am a chronic tea drinker and sometimes it helps me activate the body when am totally sleepy or out with some other drinks. It is a good refreshments some of the times.
Never heard anything too bad about tea and its addiction, so i keep drinking when i think am in need of it.

I am and have been a tea person my whole life. I have not even had a full cup of coffee in my whole life and I have no interest to do so anytime soon. Tea is just much better in my eyes and I just can not get enough of the taste. There are as many different kinds as there are coffee too so I never get bored of the same old thing.

Well l like to drink both of them. Coffee is hot, smells good and feels good early in the morning along with breakfast. Coffee gives me the strength to begin the day. It also gives me lot of boosting to my brain. But if it's really cold then I would go for a cup of tea. Tea also helps to remove that sleepy feeling and makes me wide awake.

I prefer to drink coffee. Over here you can buy this cold coffee in a bottle which is really good on a summer morning to wake you up. I just don't like tea, I don't like its taste.

Oh boy just about anyone I know could tell you that I prefer coffee to anything and drink way too much of it. I drink iced mochas with 3 plus shots plus coffee style energy drinks all day.......I'm pretty sure I am now immune to caffeine..

So I have started forcing myself to drink water and juice every day because too much of a good thing has got to be bad my health.

You have many options in coffee that is you can make different varieties of coffee, but according to researches coffee takes almost 24 hours to get dissolved in your body.. I read this in an Health article... In tea, lime tea is really good for health it helps purifying your blood.. So i go with TEA...

I'm not an avid tea or coffee drinker, actually, I just drink when it is available. Although, if I would choose between the two, I'll have coffee instead.. Tea really has a bitter and bad taste, that's just my opinion, though I know that there are a lot of herbal and medicinal values that we could get from drinking tea than coffee. But I like coffee, especially those that has frothy, chocolate or vanilla flavor, and with a rich aroma, it could really energize the nerves and how I love to savor those new tastes.

I love a good, non-caffeinated herbal tea with a little milk and honey, especially Chamomile. I have never been a big fan of coffee, it's too strong and it makes me all jittery. Besides, it's too bitter, but with sugar it's too sweet. I will stick with my tea.

Coffee for me! A cup of hot coffee will provide me with enough boost to start the day if I'm feeling lethargic early in the morning. Somehow, tea don't help to wake me up like coffee despite the caffeine content. I love the rich taste of Coffee, especially those from Starbucks. Tea is fine as well, but coffee is just better.

Well....I will prefer coffee anytime..I have hardly taken tea in my life !!!

I like coffee for various reasons apart from its good taste...Some of the major advantages of drinking coffee are:

1) Coffee increases the mental alertness & also helps in the short term memory.
2) Drinking coffee will decrease the risk of Gallbladder diseases.
3) Coffee reduces the chances of getting diabetics.
4) Drinking coffee will release your headaches.
5) Coffee will also help you managing Asthma.
6) Coffee is NOT addictive, If you drink it regularly it can be treated as your habit not as an addiction.

Regards,

Walker

Tea also has the same advantages as you mentioned. And there are various types of tea like herbal which is so good for our health. Drinking too much coffee is also bad to your health. I read this in the news paper. Also to mention, too much of anything is bad for your health.

Tea drinker here -- I don't know if coffee has any health benefits, although I could be wrong on that count -- I know it has caffeine, which causes terrible headaches and withdrawal symptoms if you try to get off of it -- tea has caffeine too, but in smaller amounts, plus it has some very important anti-oxidants as well as it is something that you can drink in the morning to wake up and drink in the evening to go to sleep with good effect.

Coffee all the way. I did drink tea on a few occasions. But never liked it. I need my coffee really strong and straight in the morning. At least 3 cups of them to keep me going. And i drink my coffee without any sugar, milk or cream. That is the way I like it. I like my coffee strong like Arnold Schwarzenegger.

The caffeine content in coffee is definitely more than that in tea. Of late, there have been reports that green tea promotes weight loss by way of body heat production. So on that count, it looks like one would be better off consuming green tea than coffee if he aims to stay fit in the long run. And in case one is to hit the cup many times over the day, tea would apparently be preferred, for it is supposed to be a lesser evil! And that's not to mention the antioxidants in the tea that is supposed to do the body's immune system a world of good.
