Default Wind energy is very environmental friendly

In one of the places in our country, there are 15 turbines that stands along the seashore and serves as energy source in that area. I guess, wind energy is very environmental friendly considering that it doesn't emit harmful gases. Also, a renewable source of energy. Do you think this energy source will be considered in the future?

Great article, wind energy is definitely really useful! It is a resource that is everywhere.

You just need to put the turbines at the direction of the wind and BAM! you have energy. Any renewable is always welcome, the only downside of this technology it is really costly to be built. You always pray and hope that the government will not think of it as a profit generating facility rather a measure to provide cleaner source of energy.

Another negative of using wind energy is the space it takes in the environment. However, it's definitely a great way of producing energy and I'm sure many people would rather see a wind turbine than a massive oil refinery in the landscape.

One of the major advantages of wind power is that it benefits the economies of rural areas. It is an excellent way to supply energy to these remote areas.
Also farmers can lend there land and simultaneously use it as they do not require much space.

I agree with you Arcel. I think the space occupied is not that much as compared to the benefits that the people will get from it.

I believe that man has not tapped this energy source as much as he should. Wind, like water is present everywhere and the energy generated can be in large amounts. This would especially benefit us in the future and can be used as an alternative to petrochemicals being used as a source of energy.

Wind power, while convenient, may not prove to generate enough electricity and power for, let's say, a suburb. We would need to rely on others in combination with the generated wind power to effectively use it. Therefore we cannot depend on it as our main resource...

I guess wind power will be a great source of energy since it does not produce harmful gases in the atmosphere. Also, it is a renewable source so it won't run out of resources. Unlike, fossil fuels which is non-renewable so there's a possibility of extinction.

I think its hard to use a wind energy, because if can only be apply in a country or a city with a hard wind. And its also not enough, not as big as solar.

Wind energy in my opinion is only suitable in certain cases. But you need a wide open space to place the huge turbines. Secondly, you need to place them in areas with strong wind. Thirdly, the turbines don't generate much power compared to other sources of energy. And fourth, the turbines can ruin scenic views.

Wind energy is the most economical way of producing electricity in hilly and remote areas.

They being very environment friendly are pursued at even high tourist attracting places. The ideal location for them to be installed is along the sea shores..since it would be very effective in generating abundant energy due to strong winds there.

I fail to understand why wind along with solar energy are not popular more enough?

We have Wind Energy system in our home, We use it minimal as in our area high winds don't come this way often enough to actually live off of it totally.

But when we had that storm hit 2 months ago from the hurricane in Florida we got the chance just to see how useful this type of living would be.

Our Electric had been off for almost 3 days due to wind damage and trees being down all over the place that out windmill had charged up all our batteries enough for us to be able to live those 3 days WITH electric instead of without like some of our neighbors were doing.

We ran our television, refrigerator and the items we needed to in order to still have electricity. I just absolutely could not believe it. I was so impressed that i had called my whole family just to let them know we had electric by wind.

Well that is really fortunate for you, just goes to tell that alternative energy is the next generation fuel/energy for sure.

Wind energy is so simple in generation and no fuss clean generation of power. I am firmly in support of the point that Wind energy is the best and the most Environment friendly source of power and involves the least investment to setup equipment for considerable amount of power

Wind energy is known as renewable source of energy . With the help of wind energy we can generate large amount of power in the form of electrical energy by using wind mills. The main economical thing is that it is free of charge from the nature .
