The North West Passage Is Melting

The Northwest Passage is a sea route through the Arctic Ocean. For millions of years it has been frozen.

For hundreds of years ships were trying to open up a clear passage to make it a trade route. Each time a ship tried to clear a way the ship ended up frozen in the seas. Many times the ships had to wait until summer, hoping that the ice would melt a little so they could get out of the area. Many ships were destroyed and men were killed because they couldn't get out.

Now the Northwest Passage is melting. Ships are able to navigate through it now. Climate change is reducing the ice pack.

This had got to mean something after millions of years.

It's a symbol of global warming & we can understand that how the atmosphere is changing.Temperature of our Earth is increasing continuously.Oneday will come when all the ice in polar regions will be melted & that'll destroy many parts of the world.So well before time we all have to think about it seriously.

Global warming - The silent killer. Has anybody seen the trailer of the movie 2012. just have a look at it and you would know what I'm talking about. it definitely gives an idea but just a glimpse of the devastation which may occur due to flooding. Control Global warming, use zero carbon fuel

its a sign of increasing global warming in environment around us. We must prevent CFC at home. Charity begins at home. If everyone take action, we can make our world maybe not better, but at least not worse than it looks like it will be.

But as someone has said, easier said than done. Its difficult for me itself to reduce use of AC's and it seems as if even I am promoting global warming. Though I will try my best this summer to prevent use of CFC. Also, we all must try to use zero carbon fuel. They are a good alternative to prevent global warming, and prevent flooded cities.
