We should all do the separation of our waste disposal from biodegradable and non biodegradable. By doing so, we can compost the biodegradable ones and we can recycle the non biodegradable one. This will be helpful for our environment.

My local council has been commended for its recycling efforts in the past, but attracted controversy not long ago with the revelation that a lot of "recyclables" were actually destined for landfill with the rest of the garbage.

The council provide everyone with two bins - one for recyclables (paper, most plastics, empty cans, glass and clothing) and one for non-recyclables (rubber, low grade plastic). The contents of the recycling bin go a facility where it gets sorted and distributed to recycling plants. The scandal was that when the sorting plant got too busy they just sent everything to landfill anyway.

Sometimes the recycling effort does more harm than not bothering at all.

waste separation is one of the most easiest yet most effective ways of going green. Kids can separate wastes at home. Adults can separate wastes at work places. Teens can pick the cans and bottles around. Everybody can help in waste separation and it goes a long way in helping save the environment so let us all get started and engage ourselves in waste separation. Let us all go green!
