Separate household wastes into degradable and nondegradable materials

separating the house hold waste into degradable and non degradable materials should be practiced to save the environment and our surroundings from getting polluted. all the plastics, electronic waste, paper should be separated from household vegetable and fruit waste should be separated so that the waste can be recycled properly. how to make people aware about it?whats your take on this...

It just needs to be easier to do, everyone one knows about it, but just isn't able. Were I live there is a large recycling area that gets cleared every week. It makes it convenient to recycle and I don't have to spend loads on bin bags.

Where as most places will charge for the boxes to separate recycling and then not pick it up for 2 weeks. It's just not simple enough.

I think everyone can do it and should do it. I don't think the problem is making the people aware to do it. We are all well aware of this. The problem is we rely on our garbage collectors so much.
