How much do we care for our envionment ?

We all know so much about recycling ?
But how much do we know that do we actually practice these things regularly?
How much do we stop people who spoil the environment ?
Sometimes we just talk about it but we cant do it.
What is you're opinion about this....

Where I live we have a system of fortnightly recycling, where the council come and collect the stuff that needs recycling. This system is very effective and I think it should be extended so it is used in all homes.

Nowdays everyone is concerned about environment.Practically not 10% of us are willing to give time or do things to enhance our environment.If you ask a common people that how much you are concern about environment he would say very much but if you ask what he has done for this problem he wont have any answer.

In our place, waste segregation is being highly promoted. Anyone who fails to follow will be penalized which I think is good in protecting the environment. As we all know, each day tons and tons of garages are collected. And if this will not be properly managed, a mountain of trash will stood one of these days...

Well, in my opinion when it comes to discussing, everyone is up for it and we generally tend to blame the governing bodies for the environmental problems but when it comes us citizens as well, we do not apply environment-friendly methods to our daily lives. We see people enjoying their non vegetarian meal and then even waste so much of it! People wearing leather clothes! The citizens and the governing bodies are equally at fault.

Everyone seems be to "concerned" about the environment, but no one seems to really do anything about it. We're still driving around in cars that's powered on gas (that we know pollutes the earth), still using materials that are not bio-degraded able, and well...this could become a long list lol.

My point is that the problem is only going to get worse until we as a people - as earth's citizens stand up and say we're killing the planet.

Or we can just wait until the earth corrects the problem on its own...lol

Since we are living on the earth we need to take the necessary steps to take care of it. Waiting for it to take care of itself is like waiting for it to self-destruct. Recycling is by far the easiest and most efficient thing we can do in our everyday lives.

I guess everyone on earth now know how serious is the danger our earth is in, and knows how to save it, at least knows that many materials can be recycled, and if didn't get recycled it's going to take decades to decay and that's going to destroy out planet... but I think (from what i see) more than 60% of people never care..
we can't say that we can't do anything to stop those people, yes we can! sooner or later after educating those people and working hard on that they will stop it...

We all do care a lot about our environment... It's just that the problem with our disintegrating environment is just so astoundingly huge that we don't know which one to start doing with first.

We do have a lot of ways to solve the problem, but since the problem started way, way back, its really hard to address it at one setting. We could start planting trees, but while we're doing that, some are also cutting down trees or doing illegal logging in order to support their families.. There are really underlying problems in every solution. This really needs all mankind's cooperation, not just with a few.

But the only thing is that we all citizens are not so concern. it must be collective efforts that can make environment better for sure

We just talk about it but we rarely do care for environment, only some people care. This needs everyone's co-operation for us to live at a better environment, not few ones

Everybody does understand the need for caring our environment....but do we set it as number one in our priority list?

No.......

One would surely find some people in the developed countries at least discussing and taking effective steps but in the poor and developing countries, it would be highly unlikely....
The focus there is the basic survival and hence they emphasize more on the development and the need to progress...which leaves caring for environment...probably last in the to-do list !!!

Walker is right. everyone knows how to keep the environment clean but when implementing practically they don't do it because of laziness or due to some personal problems or no time. Practically recycling can be done and it is not going to take much of our day to day time but how many follow this???

A lot of people do care for our environment, because this is the only place that we could live in, we don't have any other earth to live in. We have all kinds of organizations that call for saving the environment, a lot of them have spoke about global warming, water pollution, the depleting ozone layer, noise pollution and to top it all, air pollution. We need to work as one on this, since this is a big problem and entails a huge responsibility. Let us all be active in doing are share to help our environment, we can start with a small step and that's already big step to the goal.
