How are YOU saving the environment?

As the thread title says. Rather than just read on ways to prevent pollution and such (a lot of these topics are generally speaking rather than personal), what are you doing personally to "go green"?

Personally I recycle as much as I can. I make sure that things I throw away cannot be recycled, and things that are, of course I recycle them. I give rides to my friends as much as possible to reduce the number of cars on the road. My parents and I have started to convert our light bulbs to the energy-saving ones.

Although honestly I don't do much for the environment yet, I'm starting to change. It's hard to do it though - habits can be hard to break.

So what about you guys? What have you done to go green?

The only thing i do , and the main thing in my opinion , is i am trying to spread awareness among as many people as i find. I try to persuade my parents, friends and neighbors up to a certain extent. This in turn, i believe should be spread among their friends and relatives and so on. It's because i find people are not aware of the fact that our earth is in a critical position.

well, i'm doing quite a few things to save our environment
1. using the bus (DTC delhi transport corporation) for going to my college instead of my motor bike. This bus runs on cng clean green fuel
2. i have strictly stopped using polythene bags as they are a big problem
3. building compost in my garden and using this for manure
