Exclamation Alternate source of energy - renewable sources of energy

Now the price of petroleum products like petrol, diesel,LPG are increasing rapidly worldwide. That is why now all countries are facing the problem of high inflation rate.Petroleum products also create pollution problems. So people should more dependent on renewable sources of energy.

So it's time for us to limit the usage of petroleum products. For example, instead of using normal cars use hybrid cars & also we can use solar cells. This will save money as well as will help in reducing pollution level.

Yeah there are many alternate source of energy. There are inventors release their inventions of Electric cars in which it means Electricity is the source of energy all you have to do is recharge the car when it's lowbat by that way it's not that painful to think of high rate gasolines. And also one way to save gasoline is just walk if it's a walking distance.

The petroleum products expected to be completely vanished in the upcoming 20-30 years...

So, the mankind now struggled to searching the alternative energy, especially those enegry that can be reuse or recyecle.

I think that the higher oil prices will just start making people make better environmental choices as it's going to be much cheaper then oil. Electric cars are a great start, but until that electricity comes only from environmentally friendly power sources it's not very eco friendly.

As time goes on I think things will change. Ethanol is a huge deal and right now they are working on ways to pull it from plants besides corn. They can use the stalks of corn, grass, sugar beats and more to produce ethanol better and more efficiently. Right now it cost a farmer 4 gallons of ethanol to produce 3 gallons. Not very effective, but still a step in the right direction.

Post conversion time and cost to alternative energy sources

We really are in a race against time when it comes to changing to alternative environmentally friendly energy choices, but I think most people are not sure how to actually go about it. I mean our present system is so embedded into our daily life, that people have to stop and take the time out to learn how to change to an alternative energy source.

I wish I could setup a battery charging unit to my exercise bike and then be able to store and use that energy for electricity. Today I heard a story from Ed Begley Jr. who does that at his home and it sounded like a great idea. I first would need to learn how to put something like that together. Then I have to find out how much all the parts cost and figure out when I can afford them. It may take awhile if I don't have the money right now, which I don't, but I think I'll go ahead and start gathering the information on how to make it anyway.

I think it is the transition cost and time, plus so much new knowledge needed that are challenging to the average person. Many people are renters too, and cannot easily alter how energy is delivered to the home; however, they can be creative if they have the resources. Maybe some people can't afford to buy a hybrid, but hopefully many who can will buy more of them, helping to bring the cost down a little. It just takes time due to so many factors like this to convert big ticket items like cars, or electric and gas delivery and usage, to alternative energy.

I am a big fan of wind and solar energy. I believe they can make this come into play world wide within the next few years. They already have several communities in the US that use these types of energy. If we had a stable electric car that would be even better. I know here in the US they have recalled there electric cars.

I have seen my friend's car running on Water.
The kits are available online too.

But, I donno why the companies aren't manufacturing some cars which run on Water!

Hybrid cars are really great ideas. But again the corporate world will not allow this idea.

Have you seen a car from GM, FORD and all those big American Manufactures has had a car that fully and totally supports this idea. Maybe a little to none!
They have little support nor give importance to this topic.

Do you think Big Conglomerates of Petroleum will allow such technology to replace of what we have now. This is a killer to there business.

Until all the Oil in the world is drained, Until all the polar ice caps in Northern and Southern Hemisphere melts!

We will not see any difference.

Hey mate a great film for you to watch is
Who Killed The Electric Car?
But I say bugger that, get the air powered car that runs on compressed air, I'm going to get one and then give it a solar panel paint job!:p
As far as electricity look for the magnetic generator, never stops working and you never pay for electricity again! How awesome is that!

I agree that we should consider using alternative energy sources. I have watch from the news about a month ago regarding a car power only with water or hydroelectric powered car. I think Japan was the developer of this car.

I am also in the favour of haybrid cars.Honda have launched there new haybrid Honda civic which increases the mileage of cars by around 50%.But these cars are on higher side of prices. Therefore these things should be popular enough to be made available to common people.

An alternative source of energy was suggested by a Malaysian proffessor of Indian origin. He set up a plant that would re-cycle the bio-degradable waste and would then use that as a source to generate electricity! Also, it is also suggested that in future, the sea-weed can be used as an energy source as it contains large amounts of Hydrogen gas.

AMEN. My thoughts exactly. I can't speak for the rest of the world, but Pres. Jimmy Carter in the US warned us of this in the 70s, and here it is, 2008 and the only thing we've done is dug ourselves into a bigger hole. I'm a big fan of solar, wind, and water energy and I truly believe that we could populate this planet on those 3 things alone and everyone would still have all of the energy that they would need. It's the big oil companies, utility companies and such that won't allow it.

Well, there are lots of alternative energy sources available whether renewable or non-renewable. But I have seen lately an advertisement regarding a water powered car where you can install the kit yourself.

Quote:
Our easy conversion guide will show you how to use electricity from your car's battery to separate water into a gas called HHO (2 Hydrogen + 1 Oxygen). HHO, also called Brown's Gas or Hydroxy, burns smoothly and provides significant energy - while the end product is just H2O! HHO provides the atomic power of Hydrogen, while maintaining the stability of water.

Hi Guru. I got to watch on tv about the water driven car in my country. It is just that the government did not support this inventor. I saw his car working as water as the fuel. Though the engine is expensive, I think it is worth the price for in the long run you can save in terms of your fuel since water is far cheaper than gasoline.

I think that the major companies are responsible for electricity use and should take the necessary steps to find alternative energy sources at the moment. If we run out of energy sources and solar / hydro power fails to power the world, then it may just be that we will have to turn to nuclear power, and risk more destruction just to survive.

In today's era Bio-fuels or Eco-fuels are the best source of alternative energies for the existing petroleum products.
Apart from that Solar energy is also a good(but somewhat costly source).

Nuclear energy is good but there are various factors to be considered (like safety of nation ).

Only problem is the technology has some catching up to do. I know I'm gonna catch some flac for this, but the best thing for us is if the petro prices kept going up and up. This would mean that people get sick of paying high prices, and the push for research would rise, and good alternative answers to energy would start to emerge.

The knock on effect would be the costs of public transport would go through the roof, I do not think that many people would relish riding a bicycle to work, especially if you happen to live in a rural area and you work 20 miles away, same with walking.

Thumbs up Alternate source of energy

It's high time to make our decision whether to change our planet or let our planet change us. solar power is a good way to start with. hybrid vehicles is another way
I know it's hard to stop every thing in one day... but we can limit the usage of it... Please think twice

Alternate eco-friendly source of energy are the best way to save our environment.

Conventional sources of energy depends a lot on resources obtained from earth and mining of the same de-stabilizes the ecology of our planet. They also leave a whole lot of fumes and smoke in the air making our environment further polluted.

Other sources of energy like solar, wind and even nuclear are the best form of energy which would greatly enhance our efforts in keeping our environment clean and green !!!

Walker

wind energy and solar energy are the only sources of energy I trust because they are pollution free and renewable. nuclear energy produces huge amount of energy but at the long run it has very huge negative impacts on the environment.
