How to End Poverty with the United Nations

Dear Cozay,

Hope you’re well. I’m contacting you because I’d like to invite you to take part in the
United Nations Development Programme event “How to End Poverty with the United Nations: A
Global Conversation with Helen Clark” which will take place on September 15th at 14:30
GMT and will be hosted on UNDP’s Facebook page.

The event is a global online broadcast where UNDP Chief Helen Clark will be answering
questions from the public on the upcoming Millennium Development Goals Summit in
September.

We would love to have members of Cozay asking questions to Helen Clark and tuning in to
the conversation. It would be great if you could share this information with them and
with others who might be interested in attending. Our aim is to get as many people
engaged on the MDGs before the UN Summit in September 20th-22nd.

This program was great. I learned a lot from this program. Thanks very much for sharing.

Here in London we take things for granted. We throw away food because we have food in abundance whereas some people don't have anything to eat. We sucked every living blood from their bones so we cannot pretend we do not see what is going on. Not just in Africa but also in India. I don't want to dig into that but it is unfair before heaven and before this earth to leave these people to suffer and die from poverty and starvation.
We cannot eliminate poverty and starvation in one day but we can start from somewhere and we can all make a difference.
This world has enough food and love to offer all of us. It is up to us to open our hearts and share.

Anytime you lift your knife and fork and say the grace, remember the poor children around the world starving to death.

Anytime you throw away food in the garbage can, remember the millions of people going to bed hungry everyday.

i think that it is sick people dieing like that the world should be a peace full place not like wars loss of food and people living in bins,on the street,in plastic/cardboard houses.

How to End Poverty with the United Nations

WOW! I guess the United Nations never read the bible where God said "the poor you will ALWAYS have with you".

No Poor - Hundreds of thousands out of work due to no more welfare programs.

No Poor - No more religious folk making millions upon millions of dollars in the name of the poor.

No Poor - The credit card industry would fold and millions of people out of work.

No Poor - No charity deductions for the rich.

No Poor - No more class wars and the politicians would have no issues to screw people.

Got to have the poor for somebody to beat up on or feel sorry for.

No Poor and God would be a lier.

No Poor and all you nice people would be smarter than God.
