How Technology can help solve the worlds problems

Hello, my name is Seth Hall. Im a 20 year old student going to school for Software Engineering and also working full time for NCR. Ive entered into a competition called Microsoft ImagineCup. The theme for 2010 is "Imagine a world where technology helps solve the toughest problems."

Ive looked at the United Nations Millennium Goals website and here's what they have:
End Poverty and Hunger
Universal Education
Gender Equality
Child Health
Maternal Health
Combat HIV/AIDS
Environmental Sustainability
Global Partnership

Im looking for ideas to help me in one of those categories. Im leaning towards Universal Education but Im not that creative and can't think of anything to build on that to make it really stand out and work. Im asking for some ideas for that or is you have something that doesn't fit in one of those categories. Any and all help is greatly appreciated and hopefully if not my project someone there will have something that can make a difference.

the united nations is the most meaningless and greedy organization I've ever seen. It is so full of hypocrites and ***** people. don't believe anything you see on that United Nations website because the United Nations is full of sh_t

I would like to suggest something that might answer how technology can help solve the worlds problems. As you know all the technology in the world will be of no use if the people will not use it, know how to use it, is so complicated for the average person to use or needs a special education to use it. It could also be so awesome as to frighten most people away.

The answer in my opinion is there must be technology developed to simplify the using of technology that can help solve the worlds problems. Microsoft has hit that solid wall of useability. They have the stuff but not the understanding of how to relate it to the ordinary man, woman and the young person. There is a company however that has exploded in the ability to serve all this technology to every man, woman and child and at a very affordable price. It also has presented it in an enjoyable and fun framework understandable to everyone even the very old. Steve Jobs is the mans name who has begun the answer to 'How Technology can help solve the worlds problems'. The company producing it is Apple. The IPhone, the IPod, the IPad and soon the ITelavision are the vehicles.

And now, my young friend, it is up to you to dream on and develop your paper.

Microsoft and Gates are caught in the mire of corporate greatness, Steve Jobs has been caught in the arms of death and that leaves you to think above the low road and take the high road to success.
